The main mission of Sanrio Foundation’s “Children’s Smile” project is to bring smiles Sanrio Foundation brings Hello Kitty mascot and other Sanrio characters to the hospitals, where they interact with little patients by distributing small gifts, taking pictures and even organising birthday celebrations for the most needing ones. In the more underprivileged countries, Sanrio Foundation supports the hospitals themselves by donating the primary necessities and essential products. The image of Sanrio’s characters is also given free to the hospitals to decorate children’s rooms and spaces Sanrio Foundation operates in different countries working with local charity organisations to reach the biggest possible number of hospitals as well as collaborating on common “Children’s Smile” has moved their first step in 2010 by visiting the hospitals in Italy, Roberto Lanzi, the President of the Foundation declares: “I will be thankful to Sanrio for all my life for giving me the possibility of taking care of the Foundation. Sanrio For Smiles Exhibition” has been curated by Christian Gancitano and
The exhibition is a part of bigger project called “Sanrio For Smiles”, which comes from a design created remarkably after the Tsunami disaster by Sanrio Japan. The design shows Hello Kitty with My Melody, Chococat, Cinnamoroll and the Little Twin Stars placed together on the Japanese flag as they fly in “super hero” style to bring joy and smiles. Sanrio Foundation will use “Sanrio For Smiles” design to produce limited edition items “Sanrio For Smiles Exhibition” has been shown from May 20th till May 22nd Many thanks to Mi Japan, Xpo, Canon, Sosushi and Molo for coordinating the event. |

After the disastrous events, which took place in Northern Japan on 11th March 2011, Sanrio Foundation has been already operating for almost a year and, apart from its Sanrio Foundation uses the “Sanrio For Smiles” design created in Japan to produce The “Sanrio For Smiles” design shows the core values of the Sanrio characters as kawaii and happiness, portraying Hello Kitty with My Melody, Chococat, Cinnamoroll and the Little Twin Stars placed together on the Japanese flag as they fly in “super hero” style to bring joy and smiles.
